The Best Last Gift™

Remember the first gift you received as a child?

I don’t remember exactly what the gift was, however, I do remember getting the gift wrapped box with a bow on top.

The ear splitting squeal that came out of my mouth when I ripped the bow and paper off the box… and opened my surprise!

Everybody remembers that… don’t you!

As adults, our gifts aren’t always gift wrapped.

Our surprises may be more mature… they still bring us pleasure:

A rewarding and satisfying career doing what we love.
The gift to our family (and ourselves) of a comfortable home to live in.
A relaxing vacation, long overdue… finally experienced.
The joy of our first grandchild… or great-grandchild.

All family gifts we give and receive are priceless when compared to the material gifts we get in a box.
